What is the make and model number of the monitor? There should be a USB In port to connect to the desktop via a USB or proprietary - Desktop PC
From the documentation, this system appears to have both a USB 3.x port AND two Thunderbolt ports -- you need to use one of the latter to connect to a monitor. The USB 3.x ports are not set up for video -- the Thunderbolt ports are. You also need a Thunderbolt cable (should have the lightning symbol on it). K.
