For fracs Druid is fine as long as people follow mechanics, but its not (best) healer in fracs. Best raw is tempest. But the safest way in fracs is harrier firebrand + renegade. But still they are not that strong in healing. As much as I would say scourge would be after tempest, but scourge only supply’s barriers.
Dadnir.5038. The skin thematically fit the necromancer but necromancer's focus skill aren't that great unfortunately. I'd suggest guardian as it's focus skill are pretty strong compared to other professions. Elementalist wouldn't be a bad option but you hardly have the time to look at your focus on this profession.

Warrior longbow is mostly condi or hybrid while DH is power.Because you will definitely want a melee set, you will have plenty of choices for DH. For warrior, it will most likely be sword/torch. Last, I prefer warrior GS to guardian. The former has more style and utility while the later has more damage and aoe.
Personally I did Warrior first (main) and am doing Reaper (alt) now, with plans to do Dragonhunter (alt) later for map completion/achievements. They're all powerful bursty classes that offer very decent survivability through high HP, mobility, defensive traits/skills, or a combination of all of them. 1. Sockular.
For 1 by 1 situations, I'd recommend Power Mesmer (greatsword / Sw/Sw). GS #2 and GS#4 delete normal mobs and you can always throw in a shatter or damage mantra. Swords get you another ranged illusion and skill to port to the mob for melee. Power deadeye can work, as can Soulbeast with LB.
Classes don't affect your personal story, only your race and some choices you make during character creation and the choices you make throughout the personal story. In my personal opinion, Sylvari have the best story. It's also more intimately tied to the general overarching story for reasons that, if I told you, would spoil the story.

What I mean by engaging and snappy gameplay from start to finish is a class that has a lot of variety in combat, something with quick attacks, that can be creative with the gameplay, but also packs a good punch, and generally stays that way throughout all elite specs (at least 2 of 3) so I can best enjoy all expansion content in one go.
